A Bit About Myra

Myra, she/her/hers pronouns, orginally from the Midwest. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 2018. Later, she took on the role of STEM Director at the Boys & Girls Club of the Midlands in Omaha, Nebraska. By August 2022, Myra transitioned to Metropolitan Community College as a Coordinator II in Continuing Education, and was promoted to Manager in May 2024.

Committed to community service, Myra actively participates in various initiatives, holding positions such as Secretary for the MBA Student Association, Treasurer for NALA, and a member of 100 Women Who Care Omaha. She also mentors as a big sister in the Big Brothers Big Sisters MentorU program. Her past roles include being a Steering Committee member for the Reinvented INC Space Gala in 2023 and serving on the CEO/Board of IINSPIRE LSAMP Alumni from 2020 to 2022.

Beyond her professional and community commitments, Myra is furthering her education with an MBA from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Her interests span houseplant cultivation, reading diverse genres, and exploring various hobbies. She takes immense pride in being a dog mom to her Jack Russell Terrier, Kepler Bean.
